Math Resources for Tutoring Support

Great Source Mathematics
A series of excellent definitions and explanations for early and upper elementary mathematics (Math on Call, Math at Hand). These books do cost a few dollars, but you can buy them in bulk. Perhaps PTO groups could sponsor the sale of these at parent meetings, etc. They are nice for students, parents and teachers!

Algebra to Go
They also publish Geometry to go and a middle school version. Calculus Revisited is now published on the OCW site.

  • View the collection of videos on YouTube

Rossman/Chance Applet Collection - (interactive applets/programs with animation for addressing data analysis, probability, etc. Click on the Reeses link to see a demo.)

GeoGebra - This website has a lot of capacity for teaching algebra, geometry and trigonometry using visual, interactive models.
